We have welcomed many new members to our brilliant team this year. Some may be familiar faces, working directly with customers, whilst others work behind the scenes, continually improving our system for schools.
Introducing our National Account Manager, Amy Hewett
Amy will be taking a leading role in developing our customer relationships, focusing on Multi Academy Trusts.
With a wealth of experience within the education technology arena, Amy previously worked closely with Multi Academy Trusts, catering companies and Local Authorities, with a focus on computer hardware. Her understanding of the sector and how schools work helps her to build enduring customer relationships.
One of the things Amy likes most about working in the education sector is that:
“Everyone talks! If people like working with you, they will share that experience with other schools. And, of course, if they don’t, they will share that too!”
Amy loves that schools are more interested in building relationships than most corporate organisations, which is the key to her work – establishing and fostering connections with Multi Academy Trusts.
An integral part of the sales team
Amy has come to feel at home very quickly since joining the team. Whilst eagerly learning all there is to know about the company and its products, and has received a warm welcome:
“With help from of all the team, my knowledge and understanding is growing, which in turn will help me to fulfil my role to the best of my ability.”
Based on her experience, Amy Hewett confirms:
“Schools will let you know when there are problems, and Tucasi’s system solves a lot of common problems.”
How do you spend your weekends?
“I like to spend time with my little girl; we’ll go to the soft play centre, swimming, or the zoo – we both love animals. Otherwise, I’ll walk my crazy dog, Benji, or sit under a blanket watching Netflix!”
Learning about our products
Her favourite USPs of the system are the low transaction rate and Tucasi’s excellent Customer Support. Plus, as a parent, she finds the capabilities of the Parents’ Evening module highly appealing:
“I would love to be able to use the video conferencing option for our daughter’s parents’ evenings.”
The role offers exciting opportunities to collaborate with different team members from across the company.
“Working closely with the marketing team will help develop my opportunities, no matter how weird and wonderful my ideas may be!”
Working with Trusts
Knowing that all Trusts are unique, with different structures and with decision-making happening at different levels, it requires a variety of methods to engage with them, including attending conferences and meeting people in person. Whatever her work day looks like, Amy intends to really get to know our customers and always be herself:
“Being personable and memorable is a good way to be!”
