Case study: Staverton Church Of England VC Primary School
Staverton Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School in Wiltshire were using another payments and booking system, but needed a better solution to meet their needs.
Parents’ Evening
We have just run our first parents’ evening using the SCO booking system and it worked brilliantly. No complaints and everyone turned up at the correct time. Bookings closed at midday to give us enough time to prepare the teacher’s schedule for the evening.
Plus it’s easy to run a report to see who didn’t have an appointment, and we are now organising our follow up evening for those who could not attend. Everything has gone so well and everyone was really happy with this new process.
Dinners
Classroom Edition has improved efficiency and saved us masses of paper! Teachers have their own log in, they pull up lunch information in class and children put their hand up for their chosen lunches, and the teacher selects the relevant meal.
The kitchen also have their own log ins, I amend absences from the daily register, then they know exactly what the children are having, and all completely paperless now.
Modules used
Technical Support
We have been using SCO for six weeks now. Initially we had four training sessions to help us really get to know how to use each of the modules. On the occasions when we have needed support, they are brilliant. The system is easy to use, but there’s lots to learn and it really helps when we forget something, knowing the support is there.
The Wiki help pages are also amazing! The step-by-step guides with pictures are brilliant, I am now printing off the guides and compiling my own file for reference.
Overall, it’s a fantastic system, it’s so easy to use and the support is great. I now feel confident to be able to train my assistant to help me to manage our trips and clubs.
