28 Tucasi teammates got their walking boots out to take on WWF UK’s 100 Miles in March step challenge. The initiative asked people to get moving however they choose – to walk, run, cycle, swim or dance their way to the 100-mile target.
Tucasi step challenge
To add a fun element of competition, participants were split into four randomly-chosen teams to see who would take the most steps throughout the month. We shared our progress on LinkedIn, with geographical markers representing how far each team had walked in total.
Our adventures
During the challenge, team members shared pictures of their travels. These included the River Seine & Eiffel Tower in Paris, Mam Tor in the Peak District (right), the beach in Bournemouth and other areas of countryside, along with family members and dogs.
The results
Over the month of March, our colleagues took over 7 million steps, walking a combined 3,500 miles. That’s equal to the distance from our head office in Eastleigh, down to Cyprus!
Our team raised over £100 for WWF. This will help support their amazing work protecting endangered species and tackling global environmental challenges. If you’d like to help us support this important cause, there’s still time to make a donation.
